Best Spots in Pisa

Someone once told me that living in such a touristic and small city brings great responsibility. Maybe that's not true at all, but I actually know a lot of people keep coming to Pisa. I know that they are coming to Pisa for the tower and great Tuscan streets, but the Turkish hospitality in my soul gets restless knowing that those people might not get the best service as they deserved during their stay in my city. So, I decided to prepare this post to point out the best spots to eat/drink.

[restaurant] Ristorante alle BandierineWhen we are in Pisa, we mostly don't go to any restaurants to save some money and also to eat healthier at home. But when we feel like celebrating, this is our place. It has a fabulous Italian environment and an amazing menu - our favorites are always the ones with sea food.

[pizza] Pizzeria L'Arciere: We keep changing our favorite pizzeria, but this is the ultimate one. The prices are OK and they have more than 100 types of pizza. The taste is pretty good and they have an outdoor area - you might need a reservation tough.

[fast-food] La Piadona: The simple and healthy Italian fast food: piadina. It's lighter than a regular sandwich and they use the products with the best quality!

[sandwich/burger] Mediceo Paninoteca: My favorite in this place is the cheeseburger but Fabio always go with giant sandwiches. They are both amazing! They have a good collection of beers but besides, they make strange items with beer, like.. have you ever tried tiramisu with beer? No? You really should!

[ice-cream] Il Gelato di Tato:
They make their ice cream with the best products and they always create something interesting. They provide an amazing collection of flavors, and it is really hard to choose among them. Beside gelato, I mostly take frozen yogurt, they serve it with fresh fruits and nuts as topping, delicious!

[coffee] Filter Coffee: Italy is all about espresso and cappuccino, I know. But sometimes, especially when the weather is extremely hot, I need bigger drinks. I need a filter coffee or I need a frappuccino or iced coffee or I need something more authentic like a matcha latte. And filter is the only place you can find these things! They also serve amazing snacks, good sandwiches and finger licking pancakes.
